School frustration...

Postby Julie » Mon Sep 21, 2009 10:34 pm

My children were in VERY advanced schools in Eagle Mountain. They did a lot of work they're not doing here well, Morgan was for some reason placed into a lower level learning class.

I know that she's not having these problems. We DO NOT have any other options for schools down here. No private or other schools in the area. It's such a small town.

I talked with the Principal and the Teacher and they're both nit whits. I want to shake them and wake them up.

I am contemplating home school but MAN I have so many cons about that as well. As a parent what would you do if your child wasn't getting the attention he/she needed && didn't have other school resources?

Have you looked into cyber charter schooling. It's just like public school, but they do the work on the computer at home. You don't have to do the teaching, the kids will have online instructors. K12 is an excellent program and the one we were considering for our 11 year old.
